Snoop Dogg is a man of many talents, but perhaps the most unlikely is prolific gamer.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday (December 4), Tha Doggfather revealed that he’s in the top one percent of gamers in the world when it comes to time spent on Xbox.
Snoop posted his Xbox “Year in Review” stats for 2024, revealing he’s sunk 1,363 hours into games on the console over the last 12 months, with the vast majority of it being used on football games.
That total puts him in the top two percent of all users when it comes to time played. It averages out to almost four hours per day or around 57 straight days hitting the virtual gridiron.
The 53-year-old is in the top one percent of players in terms of time spent when it comes to his favorite, Madden NFL 24, and also in the top one percent on Madden NFL 25 and EA Sports College Football 25.
“Time 2 flex [fist emoji] [bicep emoji] Tha Dogg top 1% in the world n clocced 1300 hours of Xbox this year @Xbox Year in Review [fire emojis] real gamer yadigg,” he captioned the post.
Snoop Dogg has made his love of Madden known in the past and even called out Xbox when the game was suffering from glitches in 2023.
“Come on now, that’s two hours since the game came out,” he vented in an Instagram rant. “Do I need to go on Instagram and cuss you muthafuckas out? Or is y’all gon’ fix this shit?
“I’m being nice and talking to you directly. I will go to Instagram and cuss you muthafuckas out like my friends want me to do right now. I’m tryna be cordial. Get this shit fucking fixed, man. What the fuck is y’all doing?”
The rap legend’s tone soon changed, however, when his issues were resolved and he was able to complete a Madden 24 game.
In a follow-up video, Snoop adopted his best sports commentator voice and recapped his digital win with the New York Jets over the Dallas Cowboys.
“The thriller, what a doozy!” he said excitedly. “The Cowboys fall to the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets. Elroy A-Rod Jetson comes and delivers a victory as Dakota [Dak Prescott] throws no touchdown but plenty interceptions as usual. There he is, your quarterback Dak nabbit.”
Snoop simply captioned the post: “Maddens workin. [laughing emojis, dog paw emojis, Black clapping hands, fire emojis].”
Snoop’s previous forays into the world of video gaming have included him being made a playable character in several editions of the Call of Duty franchise.
Looking ahead, it has just been announced that he will perform at the 2024 Game Awards which take place on December 12.
