On Friday, TiaCorine released her long-awaited new album Corinian, a 17-track project featuring JID, Saweetie, Flo Milli, Wiz Khalifa, and more. Along with the star-studded guest list, the North Carolina artist also worked with a number of talented producers. One of them is Alex Ochoa, who produces under the name Otxoa. He contributed to four songs on the album, but his work doesn’t stop there.
Last week, Otxoa posted a TikTok of himself dancing to the track “Booty” in what looked like a classroom. “TFW u produced 4 songs on the new TiaCorine album but you still gotta teach kindergarten lol,” he wrote. The clip caught fans off guard and quickly went viral.
As the video made its way around the internet, Otxoa took to Twitter to confirm it was really him and to share how much he values teaching. “Haha yessir! That’s me! Teachin the kids and making bangers! I’d still be teaching even if I did get a big bag from making beats! Thank y’all for the love! Keep streaming Corinian!” he wrote.

Later, Otxoa posted a message on Instagram celebrating the release of Corinian. “CORINIAN OUT NOW!!! So grateful to have been able to produce 4 songs and engineer 11!” he wrote. “Shout out @tiacorine for not only being an incredible artist but a truly incredible friend!”
TiaCorine jumped into the comments to return the love. “Love you so much literal best friend fr,” she replied. “You really all over this album.” A fan later asked Otxoa how he broke into the music industry in the first place, and he shared some insight into his journey.
“Consistency, speaking up about what I do, hella research into finding new artists, and being professional,” he explained. He ended with some encouragement for aspiring producers: “I met Tia cause I DM’d her waaay back in the day and spammed her with beat packs. Just keep going g.”
