Josh Groban has revealed plans to head out on tour alongside Jennifer Hudson.
The baritone made the announcement during an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, after the pair teased that they had been sitting on a shared “secret.”
“We might have the same secret, which I think we should tell people, which is that this summer, this extraordinary, extraordinary, one of the greatest vocalists who's ever lived, one of the most amazing people on the planet has graciously agreed to come out on the road with me,” Josh said. “We're gonna be touring!”
Josh, 44, said he feels deeply grateful for the chance to perform with Hudson and hinted that fans can expect some special moments between them on stage.
“This can't be my life, but I am so excited. It is such an honour,” Jennifer, also 44, said. “One of the greatest vocalists in the world.”
The You Raise Me Up singer later shared a statement about the upcoming shows, saying: “Performing live has always been one of the greatest joys of my life, and getting to share these nights with Jennifer, someone I admire so deeply, makes it all the more special. These shows are going to be emotional, celebratory, and full of surprises. I can't wait to see everyone this summer.”
The tour has been described as “two legendary voices, one unforgettable evening,” and is set to kick off in Montreal this June.
