The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has recently dropped several trademark filings connected to Kanye West. RadarOnline reports that this includes 20 separate applications tied to the name “Yews.” The filings covered a wide range of categories, from household items and jewelry to food, drinks, clothing, and other products. In 2024, Ye briefly launched an alt right website called Yews News, though the platform only stayed active for a few months.
A number of the filings were abandoned after Ye’s trademark firm, Ox Paha, failed to show proof of how the trademarks would actually be used within the required timeframe. Reports also note that none of Ox Paha’s applications have been approved by the trademark office over the past five years. Other names that were reportedly dropped include Ye, Yeezus, Yeezy Sound, Donda, and several additional filings.
The update on the trademark situation arrives just a couple of months after the Chicago artist met with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto. During that meeting, Ye reportedly expressed regret over his past antisemitic remarks.
When Is Kanye West Dropping Bully?
“Ye came with humility to seek forgiveness and a new chapter of repentance and love among human beings,” read a post shared on Rabbi Pinto’s Instagram following their meeting. “The meeting concluded with shared hope for a future of respect and unity among nations and faiths, grounded in a commitment to truth and peace.”
Beyond the trademark news, Ye has also been preparing for the release of his upcoming album, Bully. The project is scheduled to arrive on January 30, 2026. The tracklist has already been revealed, and the album is available to pre save. So far, Bully has been pre saved by roughly 500,000 users on Spotify, making it the fourth most pre saved album on the platform at the moment. It currently trails Joji’s Piss In The Wind, Gorillaz’s The Mountain, and the Wuthering Heights soundtrack by Charli xcx.
