Victoria Beckham has once again addressed the possibility of a Spice Girls reunion and revealed that she would be interested in the group creating an ABBA Voyage style hologram show.
Speculation surrounding a Spice Girls comeback has continued to grow in recent years, especially with 2026 marking the 30th anniversary of the legendary British girl group.
The last time all five members publicly performed together was during the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony in London. More recently, the group reunited briefly to perform ‘Stop’ during Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration in 2024.
The group also embarked on a reunion tour in 2019, although Beckham did not take part in those shows.
Now, the former Posh Spice has suggested that future Spice Girls plans could potentially take inspiration from ABBA Voyage, the hugely successful London residency featuring digital versions of ABBA performing their classic songs.
Speaking during an appearance on SiriusXM radio, Beckham explained that she and fellow members Mel B, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Melanie C and Emma Bunton have discussed the idea.
“I think it would be a great idea,” Beckham said. “The principle of it would be great… We were talking about it at dinner, but we’ll see.”
The comments come as ABBA Voyage continues to break records in London. The show passed one million visitors in April 2023 and, as of last month, that figure has reportedly quadrupled. Since launching in 2022, the production has contributed more than £2.06billion to the UK economy, staged over 1,400 performances and welcomed audiences who have collectively spent more than 141,500 hours attending the show.
Elsewhere, Melanie C has also continued fueling reunion rumours. The singer recently said she was “manifesting” a future appearance at Glastonbury Festival, while previously revealing that all five members “want to do something” together. Last week, she also reunited onstage with Mel B for a live performance.
Last year, Melanie C also shared that she remained “optimistic” about another reunion, while Beckham sparked further speculation after admitting she was tempted by the idea of a Spice Girls stadium tour after attending Oasis’ comeback shows.
Meanwhile, Geri Halliwell-Horner previously hinted that “there will be something” involving all five members in the future, while Mel B said she was “always game” for touring again.
However, both later appeared to walk back those comments. Mel B recently admitted she does not believe a reunion is currently “happening”, suggesting that plans would already be underway if it were realistic, while Halliwell-Horner dismissed rumours of a Glastonbury appearance in 2024.
The Spice Girls are not the only legendary act exploring virtual concert experiences inspired by ABBA Voyage. In late 2023, KISS announced plans for a new digital era after concluding their farewell tour at Madison Square Garden.
At the end of that show, the band unveiled digital avatars that performed ‘God Gave Rock And Roll To You’ after the real members left the stage. Last month, the launch date for their upcoming Las Vegas avatar performances was officially confirmed, with reports suggesting the production may even feature brand new songs.
