Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak have been seen spending time together during a night out at the celebrity-frequented restaurant Nobu in Malibu, California.
The outing follows earlier reports that the pair were spotted holding hands during a movie date in May, when they attended a screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in Los Angeles.
Rumours about a possible romance between the two first began circulating in December 2024 after they were seen together in Aspen, Colorado, where they were photographed holding hands multiple times throughout the holiday season.
Speaking on Keke Palmer’s podcast Baby, This is Keke Palmer in September last year, Carey said she and .Paak initially connected while collaborating on her album Here For It All.
Addressing the speculation at the time, Carey remained playful about the rumours, hinting at a possible connection but stopping short of confirming anything. She said there was "maybe a little love" involved and described .Paak as being "just part of the hand-holding club."
However, .Paak has since pushed back on the relationship talk, saying the two are simply friends and that his schedule leaves little room for dating.
.Paak filed for divorce from his wife, Jae Lin Chang, in January 2024 after 14 years of marriage. The former couple share two children, Soul Rasheed and Shine Tariq.
Carey was last publicly linked to choreographer Bryan Tanaka, with whom she had an on and off relationship from 2016 until their split in late 2023.
