Charli XCX has earned a nomination at the 2026 World Soundtrack Awards.
The 365 singer is competing for Best Original Song with House, which appears in Emerald Fennell’s film Wuthering Heights.
Charli created a complete soundtrack album for Wuthering Heights and helped write House alongside John Cale, Nathan Klein and Finn Keane. She also performs the song with the Velvet Underground musician.
The British artist released the soundtrack in February before quickly returning with her newest album, Music, Fashion, Film, on Friday.
House is competing against four songs from films released in 2025. The other nominees are Golden from KPop Demon Hunters, No Place Like Home from Wicked: For Good, Stolen Tale from Hedda and Train Dreams from the movie of the same title. Golden and Train Dreams were also nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars earlier this year, with Golden winning the award.
In another category, Hildur Guðnadóttir received a Film Composer of the Year nomination for her music in The Bride!, Hedda and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. She is nominated alongside Max Richter for Hamnet, Jonny Greenwood for One Battle After Another, Daniel Pemberton for Project Hail Mary, Masters of the Universe and The Drama, and Alexandre Desplat for Frankenstein and Jurassic World Rebirth.
Finneas O'Connell was another major name recognised, earning a Television Composer of the Year nomination for his work on the second season of Beef.
The opening group of nominees was revealed on Wednesday, while the next round will be announced on 3 September.
The World Soundtrack Awards Ceremony & Concert is scheduled to take place in Ghent, Belgium, on 10 October.
