Four years after making her acting debut in Netflix’s She’s All That remake, He’s All That, Addison Rae is back on the platform. She appears in Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s Monster: The Ed Gein Story as Evelyn Hartley, an alleged victim of the murderer and grave robber. You can watch Rae in the limited series’ first trailer, which is set to Pet Shop Boys’ “It’s A Sin,” below.
Gein was confirmed to have murdered two women in Plainfield, Wisconsin during the 1950s. His crimes went on to inspire some of the most famous horror films ever made, including Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Silence of the Lambs. Hartley went missing in 1953, and while Gein was suspected, he denied being involved in her disappearance. Her remains were not among those discovered in his home.
Monster: The Ed Gein Story will premiere on Netflix on Friday, October 3. It is the third installment of Murphy and Brennan’s true crime anthology series, which previously focused on Jeffrey Dahmer and the Menendez brothers. The series stars Charlie Hunnam as Gein and Laurie Metcalf as his mother. Rae, meanwhile, released her debut album Addison in June.
