M L Underwood: The most valuable lesson I learned in releasing music is being ready to promote before and after release.

M L Underwood: By planning everything involved with the project. Proper preparation prevents poor performance

M L Underwood: I examine how my music touched the hearts of my listeners. If I can see that people are truly affected then I keep promoting

M L Underwood: The business side of the music industry has challenged me to grow because that side is heartless

M L Underwood: I learned that I must have patience because this industry will humble you

M L Underwood: I focus on creating projects that can be played 50 years from now and still appreciated by the masses
TheLoudMagazine: What have you learned about patience, timing, or momentum through your career so far?
M L Underwood: You have to know when to hold and fold because some projects you create are designed to build over time instead of going super viral now
TheLoudMagazine: What feels most important to you now that may not have felt as important earlier on?
M L Underwood: I feel now that people are understanding and appreciating the motivational music I’m putting out, and this is important to me
