Paul McCartney’s upcoming Wings documentary Man On The Run is set to receive a special cinema outing next month, with a one night only screening planned.
The film explores McCartney’s life after The Beatles, charting the period in which he formed Wings with his late wife Linda. The documentary will officially launch on Prime Video on February 27 through Amazon MGM Studios.
Before its streaming release, Man On The Run will be shown in cinemas across the world for a single night on February 19. Tickets will be available to buy from 2pm GMT on February 4 and can be purchased here.
Each cinema screening will also feature an exclusive bonus discussion between McCartney and the film’s director Morgan Neville.

According to the official press release, Paul McCartney: Man On The Run traces McCartney’s “transformative decade in the wake of The Beatles’ break up and the rise of his new band Wings”.
“Using striking archival material, Linda McCartney’s remarkable photography, and interviews with Paul, Linda, Mary and Stella McCartney, several Wings members, Sean Ono Lennon, Mick Jagger, Chrissie Hynde and others, the film looks back on this era through a deeply personal and revealing lens.”
Earlier this month, a trailer for the documentary was released, featuring McCartney reflecting on the emotional aftermath of The Beatles’ split in 1970. “I fell very depressed, but I was very lucky, because I had Linda,” he says in the clip.
The preview also charts Wings’ evolution, from their uncertain beginnings with debut album ‘Wild Life’ through to the success of their third release ‘Band On The Run’. The film includes intimate backstage footage from tours, alongside rare and previously unseen recordings and performances.
McCartney also addresses the breakdown of his relationship with former bandmate John Lennon in the documentary, saying: “We’d had arguments and all of that, but we’d loved each other all our lives”.
Last year, McCartney published the book Wings: The Story Of A Band On The Run, an oral history that documents the group’s influence across their catalogue and follows the various versions of the line up over the years.
The book includes more than 100 photographs, many of which had never been made public before.
Elsewhere, Wings also released the documentary One Hand Clapping in 2024, alongside its accompanying 1974 live in studio album.
That same year saw the band share a special five decade edition of their 1973 album ‘Band On The Run’.
