Wynonna Judd’s daughter is expected to deliver her baby while in custody after a court rejected her application for temporary freedom to receive a Cesarean section.
According to Us Weekly, Grace Pauline Kelley submitted paperwork last month requesting permission to briefly leave jail for the arrival of her second child.
She is serving a 15 month term at Rockingham County Jail in Harrisonburg, Virginia, after admitting in June to the felony offence of driving with a suspended or revoked licence.
Court records reviewed by the publication indicate that a Virginia judge refused Kelley’s request. However, officers will transport her to a hospital for a planned C section. Her baby is reportedly due this month, though the exact date remains unknown and it is possible the birth has already occurred.
The filings further claim that Kelley is not in contact with her biological relatives.
Kelley previously alleged that Judd was aware she had been abused as a child by her former stepfather, DR Roach. Judd married Roach, who once worked as her bodyguard, in 2003 before their relationship ended in 2007.
Authorities detained Roach in Texas in March 2007 and charged him with three counts of aggravated sexual battery involving a child younger than 13.
He was ultimately found guilty of attempted aggravated sexual battery. The identity of the victim was not publicly disclosed.
During a 2025 interview with the Daily Progress, Kelley claimed she was 10 when the alleged mistreatment occurred and said it became known after the family attended counselling.
"When he was arrested, and it came out in the news, that's when she divorced him," Kelley said about her mother.
"So is my mom rich? Yeah, she's so rich that she was able to sweep me under the rug and then cover it all up," she alleged.
"I don't want to talk bad about my mom, but we'll just say she's a good performer. She was never a mother."
Judd has reportedly looked after Kelley’s young daughter, Kaliyah, throughout the last two years.
