Megan Thee Stallion has confirmed plans to release Megan: Act III in 2026.
The rapper shared that she is finishing up the next chapter following 2024’s Megan and Megan: Act II, with fresh music on the way for her fans later this year.
Offering an update on her progress, she told People: “I’m definitely in the studio. I’m kind of hiding from everybody right now because I really just want to work.
“I’m wrapping up act three, and the music is coming out this year.
“The Hotties just need to be a little patient with me. I’m in the gym and the studio, the gym and the studio.”
Since the release of Megan: Act II, the WAP rapper has dropped the singles Whatever and Lover Girl, which NME reports are expected to appear on Act III.
Elsewhere, the 30 year old artist has previously spoken about her competitive nature, saying she enjoys the challenge of the charts but wants listeners to focus on the music itself rather than constant comparisons with other artists.
Speaking at actress Taraji P. Henson’s I Am the Table Benefit Brunch last October, she explained: “Of course I’m competitive. Of course rap is competitive, and hell yeah, I want to win. I want to be number one, for sure, but that’s not why I do it.
“At one point, I felt like I was doing it to please my fans because I love that they’re competitive, but I don’t want to be arguing on Twitter with people about charts when they don’t even listen to my music.
“Some people just want to drag others because they think the next girl isn’t doing as well as me, or that I’m not doing as well as someone else. But did you actually hear my songs? Do you understand what I’m saying? Do you even like what I’m saying, or do you just want to brag?”
Rap has long been associated with rivalry, and Megan has found herself at odds with artists including Nicki Minaj and Eminem.
In 2024, she publicly addressed the criticism she had been facing, saying some attacks had crossed a line.
Writing on X, she said: “It’s really sick how yall go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning. Yall going too far, fake a** s***. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it. (sic)”
