Kevin Gates has called on his ex wife, Dreka Gates, to publicly set the record straight about their relationship in a recent post shared on social media.
In an Instagram reel, the Really Really rapper pushed back against claims that he has been absent from his children’s lives. He also accused Dreka and members of her family of taking money from him during their marriage.
“Aye Drek, I challenge you to tell people that we had an Islamic marriage,” Gates said in the video.
“I challenge you to tell people that my children lived with me for the past two years. I challenge you to tell people that you didn’t file for divorce, or whatever you call divorce, until I stopped giving you money because you and your family had been stealing from me the whole time.”
Gates went on to allege that Dreka used the money to open a dispensary, which he claims has since shut down.
The former couple officially ended their marriage last year after being together for a decade.
“I take care of my children and I was still taking care of you while you were with that n**ga,” Gates added, referencing an alleged affair that Dreka has repeatedly denied.
Dreka, who runs a 43 acre farm in Mississippi, previously requested $46,274 (£34,570) per month in spousal support and $27,193 (£20,315) per month in child support in court documents filed last October. In those filings, she accused Gates of failing to properly support her financially.
The two first met as teenagers around 2003. They later welcomed children in 2012 and 2014 before tying the knot in 2015. Dreka filed for divorce in July 2025, citing irreconcilable differences after more than 20 years together.
