Before Carly Rae Jepsen welcomed her daughter into her life, she says she already felt a deep longing to meet her. Now that moment has finally arrived, with the singer sharing the happy news on Tuesday (March 17).
Through a post on her Instagram Stories, Jepsen confirmed that she and her husband Cole Marsden Greif Neill, known professionally as Cole M.G.N., have officially become parents. Alongside a photo of herself cradling her newborn, she shared the message, “Last 2 weeks have been the best of my life.”
“Welcome to the world little one,” Jepsen also wrote.
The Billboard Hot 100 chart topping singer and Cole M.G.N. were married in October at the historic Chelsea Hotel in New York City, a little over a year after they revealed their engagement. “We knew we wanted a location that meant something to us, and the Chelsea Hotel had become a home away from home every time we were in New York,” Jepsen told Vogue at the time.
Not long after their wedding, the pop star revealed she was expecting their first baby by sharing photos showing her pregnancy and writing, “Oh hi baby.”
Jepsen most recently released an album in 2023, following her 2022 Billboard 200 No. 19 project The Loneliest Time with The Loveliest Time. Across her career she has landed five albums on the chart, including her 2016 release EMOTION. She also recently marked the 10 year anniversary of that record with a special expanded edition that included additional songs such as “More,” “Guardian Angel,” “Back Of My Heart” and “Lost In Devotion.”
