Noel Gallagher is currently working on new music.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s DriveTime, the musician said he has been “noodling away” with fresh ideas, explaining that writing songs is simply “what I do” when asked to clarify.
He did not confirm whether the material is intended for Oasis or his High Flying Birds, keeping things vague as he added, “I’m just writing songs.”
While Noel is keeping his plans open, his brother and bandmate Liam Gallagher recently downplayed the idea of Oasis releasing new music.
Replying to a fan on X who suggested the band could continue touring without putting out another album, Liam said the expectations would be too high to meet.
He explained that trying to live up to their classic catalogue would “be too much,” joking that the band would “split up again” if they made another record.
Liam has also been joking about the ongoing speculation around a James Bond theme.
When asked how his supposed 007 track was coming along, he joked that it was finished, but only after Yungblud completes his “triangle solo".
The exchange continued when another fan asked about Noel’s recent studio work, with Liam joking that he had been busy teaching Yungblud how to play the triangle parts.
Yungblud has openly said he would like to be part of the next Bond theme.
Speaking to Kerrang!, he shared that he would “love” to work with both Gallagher brothers if the chance came, describing a Bond song as “the goal” for any British artist.
There have been reports linking Oasis to the next 007 soundtrack, though Noel dismissed the idea during a previous TalkSPORT appearance.
He said he had not heard anything confirmed, but admitted he would take the opportunity “in a heartbeat,” adding that the Bond theme tradition “should be done by Brits.”
He also joked that he would be happy to play a Mancunian villain if the music opportunity did not happen.
Noel has previously spoken about experimenting with Bond style music, telling NME that one of his older tracks “would make a great Bond theme.”
