With honesty and insight, DMT Daniel Miller reflects on the highs, the hurdles, and the heart behind the hits.
TheLoudMagazine: What comes first for you: the music or the lyrics?
DMT Daniel Miller: Lyrics.
TheLoudMagazine: How do you decide on the theme or concept for your song?
DMT Daniel Miller: I lived it.
TheLoudMagazine: Have you ever had a dream to inspire a song or an album?
DMT Daniel Miller: No, I have dreamed of battle rapping, though, and saving the day with my raps and getting the girl. I think we all had a dream like that, whether you were a rapper or not; everyone wants to be a hero of some kind.
TheLoudMagazine: What’s your approach to creating a unique sound?
DMT Daniel Miller: Being real.
TheLoudMagazine: What’s your favorite part of the recording process?
DMT Daniel Miller: Writing is, I feel like I’m pissing people off every word I write, a word and a rhyme at a time.
TheLoudMagazine: How do you define your artistic identity?
DMT Daniel Miller: A real rapper that doesn’t like pussy and fake shit that wants to do the job right no contradictions and no other way besides that nothing half assed and wanting to bring it and make others be forced to step it up there’s one way for me to go it’s the same way I’ve always went and that’s through everyone anyone’s welcome to try and get in my way and stop me.
TheLoudMagazine: How do you handle criticism and feedback on your music?
DMT Daniel Miller: Don’t care or give a fuck what a pussy has to say most critics are 40 year old faggots or some dude who can’t rap worth a fuck trying to run his mouth because he is a complete loser and a bum who couldn’t make it and didn’t have what it takes so now he runs his mouth like a expert on the internet comment sections or becomes a podcast host pure faggots don’t take opinions from others very seriously unless it’s someone who I respect if I’m being for real.
TheLoudMagazine: What’s the most challenging aspect of being a song artist?
DMT Daniel Miller: Not that hard these people half of them are talentless hacks that think they are gods I’ll tell you what you write music quit being a pussy and put the pen to the paper you’re not a soldier he’ll half of these pussies in the music world are gay faggots and use ghost writers and chat gpt they don’t write their own shit so for them it’s not hard at all anyone can do what they are doing proof of that is that these complete pussies are doing it so yeah for me the hardest part is not getting what I’m owed when nobody outworks me and everyone else is wack and pussy everything else is second nature to me it’s natural it’s what I do at this point.
TheLoudMagazine: What impact do you hope your music has on your listeners?
DMT Daniel Miller: Hope it inspires them musically if that’s what they are listening for but for everyday Americans to hear and listen to someone a guy that’s trying his best and hardest even though there’s no reason to fight or chase your dreams it might seem to everyone else I want them to hear a guy going all out on his craft chasing excellence and be like “There is a way out and if I work my ass off I can do it look at this guy.” or say to themselves “Look at this guy he’s out here trying his best and being real and telling the truth not someone lying for once.” And have an actual connection to the song rather than some fake pussies song that could give a fuck about the fans' music and making the world a better place. They can listen to my shit and hear someone that ain’t a fake person or liar or wanting to act hard or sound hard everything I do is real man I say what I feel nothing pulled back I want people with depression to know they are not alone and the better way to fight it is to man up not with pills drugs alcohol or any of that retarded ass shit that there is a higher power that made us strong for a reason.
TheLoudMagazine: How do you see your music evolving in the next few years?
DMT Daniel Miller:I tend not to look too deep into that. I just go a day at a time, but I hope I am continuing to be at the top of my game. I already have won you all, just don’t know it yet. I plan to be the only one remaining when it’s all said and done as well.
