Andy Reid has shared new details about the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, revealing that Adam Sandler delivered a heartfelt message while officiating the couple's July 3 ceremony at Madison Square Garden. Speaking with CNN, Reid recalled one piece of advice that stood out from Sandler's speech: "Kiss every chance you have. Every day. Whether you're going to bed or going to work. Whenever, go ahead and kiss her."
Reid praised Sandler's performance as officiant, saying he struck the perfect balance between humor and sincerity throughout the ceremony. According to the longtime coach, Sandler helped unite guests from many different backgrounds by bringing warmth, laughter, and emotion to the occasion. Official details released after the wedding also confirmed that the couple chose not to have traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Taylor's brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honor, while Jason Kelce stood beside his brother as Best Man.
Sandler's role in the ceremony came as little surprise to those familiar with his friendship with Kelce. The NFL star made a cameo in Sandler's film Happy Gilmore 2, and the two later reunited during an appearance on Kelce's New Heights podcast. During the movie's promotional tour, Sandler described Kelce as "such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell," adding that he reminded him of the close friends he grew up with.
The wedding reportedly welcomed hundreds of high profile guests from across the entertainment and sports worlds. Among those in attendance were Ed Sheeran, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid, Dakota Johnson, Ethan Hawke, Machine Gun Kelly, Jason Sudeikis, Hugh Grant, and Camila Cabello, making the celebration one of the year's biggest celebrity events.
