What’s on your mind?
Getting through shooting this movie. This is my first time on a movie set and it is very different than a concert or festival. The only thing I can tell you is Judd Apatow is a part of it, and that is very exciting!
What time do you wake up?
[When] my daughter [wakes up] or if I’m on the road myself.
What’s your summer about?
Getting better.
What does it feel like to be you?
Life is a roller coaster. I’m recording, running a label, performing and strategizing my next 10 moves all at once, while still being an extremely present father.
What are you running from?
Everybody’s problems. When you are a provider either in personal or business, everyone’s problems tend to become yours. I’m trying to focus and not let that affect me.
What’s the last thing you cooked?
Lamb chops.
What do you do when you’re nervous?
Smoke.
What’s a hill you’ll die on?
Fatherhood/respect.
What are you over?
Fame. I do this for the passion and to provide for my family, fame was never the goal. Fame can be the downside of the business; you lose your anonymity and are subject to a lot of opinions.
What doesn’t make sense?
Life.
