Queen and David Bowie have been featured on the official wake up playlist for the Artemis II crew.
The four astronauts, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen, began their 10 day mission on April 1 as they make their journey to the moon and back, marking the first time people have taken on this mission in more than 50 years, with flight controllers playing different songs each morning to help start their day.
It was shared over the weekend that Chappell Roan hit Pink Pony Club had made the list, and now NASA has unveiled the full playlist so far.
Posting on Instagram, NASA said: “You asked for it. Here it is. The official Artemis II wake-up song playlist.
“Each track was selected by the Moon crew, continuing a tradition that started more than 50 years ago. Stay tuned to find out which songs they’ll choose next.”
The playlist began with Sleepyhead by Young and Sick, followed by Green Light from John Legend and André 3000.
Next up was In A Daydream by Freddy Jones Band, before Pink Pony Club took its turn.
Other songs featured include Working Class Hero (Work) by CeeLo Green, Good Morning from Mandisa and TobyMac, along with Tokyo Drifting by Glass Animals and Denzel Curry.
Closing out the selection are Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie, along with Lonesome Drifter by Charley Crockett.
Glass Animals reacted by saying: "This is the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me in my life ever.”
Meanwhile, Young and Sick shared: "Thank you sooooo much for having me aboard!! My life will never be the same."
Denzel Curry joked that he is now "the First Rapper Played in Space", adding: "To infinity and beyond muthaf***a."
The crew also joked earlier about briefly losing signal, which caused Pink Pony Club to cut off before reaching the chorus.
Commander Reid Wiseman said: "We were all eagerly awaiting the chorus."
The Capsule Communicator at NASA responded by promising they would "try again next time".
